A few years ago two young vicars sat in a coffee shop, they had ducked out of a conference they were meant to be at – but don’t tell the Bishop, talk turned to how the good news of Jesus could change the city of Bristol. In that coffee shop a dream emerged, not of one church to change the city but of a family of churches. Churches that were meeting peoples needs and leading them to encounter the Lord Jesus.
Lots of Little Churches.
This is the heart of who we are: Little Church. It’s where we do life together, where we grow as disciples and how we meet the needs of others and lead them to encounter Jesus. They come in all shapes and sizes depending on the vision of the Little Church, the people who make it up and when or where they meet. We like to think there is a Little Church for everyone, and if there isn’t well we like to help people start one!
Lots of Little Churches; one big church family.
On Sunday we come together for worship, teaching and Kids Church. This is a great time to celebrate together who God is, who we are in Him and all He is doing through our Little Churches.
As part of the Church of England we are the parish that has responsibility for the area of Bristol known as The Gloucester Road, but our people come from all over the city. We are also part of the HTB Network.
We would love to meet you. Why not come along on a Sunday and say hi or make contact with a Little Church and find out what’s on in the week.
