Welcome to St Bartholomews Church

St Barts - External  St Bartholomews External - again

We are a church where people of all ages can belong. But you need to be up early for the St Bart’s twice-monthly ’Early Bird’ service at 9am! Designed for young families, child-friendly, simply worded prayers, action songs and a lively talk - all lasting just 35 minutes. Otherwise, the main Sunday morning service is at 10am and is usually either Holy Communion or Morning Worship, with separate groups for children and young people. Prayer for healing is occasionally held as part of the main morning service. There is a mid-week Holy Communion on Wednesdays at 10am.

Alongside the church is the hall where a variety of different activities are held. The church buildings are used extensively throughout the week by the church and local community. For all bookings, contact Emma Humphries on 0117 904 1521.

Other church activities on offer include:

Housegroups - meeting in people’s homes for bible study, prayer and fellowship. See the separate link for full details.

Taizé Service - come and experience this distinctive style of worship, held at 6.30pm in the evening on the second Sunday of each month (with music practice from 5.45pm).

’St Bart’s Babes’ - the Mums and Tods…and Grandparents and Carers’ groups, meet on Thursday and Friday mornings during term time.

Ladies’ Circle - meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month (except August) for a varied programme of speakers and other activities.

’The Bartholomites’ - are an active and enthusiastic drama group, with talented members - both young and old - who put on one or two productions every year. The annual pantomime, usually in February, is always the highlight of the year, and currently they are rehearsing for their fortieth production.

Uniformed organisations - we have good links with local groups and regular church parades are held throughout the year.
